Distinctive Unit Insignia

BLAZON

A nickel plated, mirror-like polish and enamel device 1-1/4 inches (3.18cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per bend twice beveled Argent and Tenné over all a telegraph pole Sable.  Attached below the shield a motto scroll inscribed "WITH A WILL" in Black.


SYMBOLISM

The partition line gives the appearance of a streak of lightning and the telegraph pole symbolizes communication. The colors white and orange are the colors of the Signal Corps.


BACKGROUND

The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 22 June 1931.
